Importing from PI Asset Framework

Entire AF models or select portions of AF models can be imported to Irys Frame from the PI System.

How to import your AF model​

To import an AF model, first add a new node to Frame using the plus button, then expand the options for the new node, then click "Add AF Elements" to get the import dialog. From there you can select the desired elements to import from AF.

How AF Elements are tied to Irys Frame Nodes​

When you import from AF, unique identifiers for the elements imported are stored in Frame. Each node has a unique identifier associated with an element in AF. Any changes to Frame, such as the node name or adding or removing fields do not change this relationship to AF.

To import new attributes for an element already copied from AF to Frame, remove the node in Frame and re-import the AF element.
